Additional information: Sculpted in 1974, patinaed and mounted on a round black onyx base with beveled edge*.
This bronze sculpture by Earl W. Bascom depicts a
typical buffalo skull found by the artist on the
prairie. When the artist was a young man working on
the family ranch in Southern Alberta, he helped his
uncle collect wagon loads of buffalo skulls and bones
in the grass hills of the Milk River Ridge. Buffalo
bull skulls are large and impressive as this sculpture
shows.
